BEING FOSTERED IN B'HAM, AL

PeeDee was given up by his family cause they had new twins and just didn't have the time for PeeDee. PeeDee is very sweet and gets along with other dogs and cats. He would be fine with older children 8+yrs. PeeDee is special needs because he has to be on meds for seizures but if kept on the meds he does not have seizures. Please don't let that stop you from adopting this sweet sweet boy. It's not his fault he has seizures so please don't let that stop you from adopting him. He is UTD on all shots on heartworm prevention and Frontline. Please feel free to e mail foster mom with any questions you have about PeeDee.
Out of State and Canidian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arranements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
