BIO: Lexie 2 was dumped at a community college in middle TN we are guessing in the hopes that someone would take her and give her a home. AADR was contacted and we did take her with the help of a good Samaritan. She is on the skidish side when she first meets you, possibly some abuse but she does warm up within a day or two. She walks well on a leash but loves the fenced in yard better. While she is house broken she will also use puppy pads.
She’s crate trained but doesn’t really care for it but will not soil in her crate if you have to go out for several hours. We are looking for a home for Lexie that will allow her to gain their trust and never be dumped again.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
