BIO:
Sacha is a wonderful, sweet and comical girl with a great personality. She still needs to lose couple of pounds and will need to watch her waistline. Her favorite things are squeaky toys, car rides and playing “catch me if you can” games in the back yard. Don’t let her size fool you; she is light and fast on her feet. Sacha is very loyal and affectionate and her whimsical expression is so typical of the wirehair. She is a laid back, doggie-cushion potato, content to snooze the day away. While she is a sociable girl, she would also do very well as an “only” dog. She brightens the lives of everyone who has ever met her.
Sacha’s face is so cute with her bushy whiskers and eyebrows unique to the wire-haired that is hard not to smile when you look at her. She loves to be around her people and will contentedly snuggle down on your feet if you are at the computer or doing any other quiet activity. She seems very happy to sleep on her doggie bed alongside the big bed and does not make a fuss about being picked up to sleep on a lap or on the big bed. Sacha would make a wonderful and entertaining companion and you will not regret giving her a second chance in a forever home.
More about Sasha..NC
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
