BIO: Biggun is a 6 year old dachshund that was rescued from the local city shelter just in the nick of time being an owner surrender. Biggun looked to have lived in a crate most his life. Biggun was 22 lbs. when his foster mom got him and at which time he went on a strict diet. Biggun’s foster mom has a doggie door and he loved it from the first moment he caught on what it was for, with the exercise that he got Biggun is now at 16.2 pounds. He is house trained, crate trained and loves to run around the yard, loves to ride in the car and sleep next to you when you watch TV. Biggun really doesn’t understand cats so he is better off without any in the home. Biggun is good with the other dogs in the home and my foster mom tells me I will make a great addition to a family. I would really love to have my on “Furever Family”.
Biggun is with the Blount County Humane Society!
If you feel you can give Biggun the home he so deserves please fill out an adoption application.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about Biggun
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
