NO CATS OR BIG DOGS FOR JASPER!! Jasper is a great dachshund! He might check you out before he warms up to you, but then he is all yours. He is very sweet and gives kisses. He is partially housetrained and crate trained. Jasper does not like big dogs too much. I think he is scared of them. Jasper is 2 years old, in good shape. He is a smooth red beautiful dachshund. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. He loves to run and play outside, and bark outside. He thinks he is a watch dog and will let you know when something is going on outside. Jasper is not a little bitty dachshund either, he is between a tweenie and a standard, about 20lbs. Jasper has been known to run around with toys in his mouth. He loves to go outside to run around and bark at the small dogs next door. Jasper has the puppy energy, but he is getting old enough to settle down too. Do you have the kind of home where Jasper will be loved forever? Where he can play and love his family with no worries? Don't miss on this great dachshund.......he is soooo sweet! Contact Patti Phillips at Bunnydog@bellsouth.net if you would like to inquire about adoption of Jasper. Jasper says woof-woof Jasper would not open his eyes for his picture! Out of State and Canidian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arranements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about JASPER...TN
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
