BIO:

Mr. Capone is a smart, healthy, active, playful dog. He has beautiful classic black and tan markings. He will worm his way into your lap, your bed and your heart in no time at all. He was very adaptable and loving when he came into our lives. We have two miniature males, also neutered. Mr. Capone likes to play with the boys and march around the yard to protect us from “evil” squirrels, birds and cats. He also likes to play catch and any other game we can devise. Mr. Capone would be happy in a single dog home or with another dog. He is just a happy well adjusted dog who wants a family of his very own.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
