BIO :

Edward now named Aiden, was adopted and loved.  He bonded with his new mommy, and then everything changed.  And she was forced to make a choice for Aiden.  She chose to let him return to his foster home in the hopes he could another family.  He is only 8 months and really likes everyone!  Aiden knows his name and is doing well with house training. He had a bit of a slip when he came back, but is back on the road now.  Aiden is a beautiful, playful gentle loving boy.  He is a larger puppy.  Aiden has a bit of an overbite, but this causes him no problems.  If you are looking for a special companion, that loves long walks, car rides, the big bed, and cuddling anytime, look no further.  Feel free to contact Aiden's foster mom for more info, kathymartine@cox.net.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
