BIO:

Keeley and 5 other puppies came from a MO puppymill. They will be listed soon. Keeley is a friendly happy girl that doesn’t know a stranger and will give you tons of Dachsie kisses not even for the asking. She loves the other foster dogs and just wants to play with them or snuggle up with them or the foster parents. She does get lonely if you leave her in a crate and will cry but if a home with another dog or cats she’d be great.

She is doing extremely well with house breaking. If you take her right out after a meal or after her nap, she will potty outside. She also does well and hold it very well in a crate for up to 4-5 hours. Won’t you give this sweet girl a forever home. She will be traveling to FL to another foster home so if you are interested do not wait, put you application in now. You won’t be sorry and will receive a ton of love for a lifetime.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
