BIO

Nila is a courtesy listing and not associated with All American Dachshund Rescue.  Please contact Chevy Hall at the e-mail listed above for further details on Nila and how to adopt her.

Nila (NS#1098) (pronounced Nee-la) is a spunky little blue female, born around June 1, 2011. We believe her father was an Australian Shepherd, and her mother was a Dachshund or Miniature Dachshund. She is tall and lean, with 2 beautiful blue eyes.  She has a short coat so grooming shouldn't be a hassle.

Don't let her size fool you; this little firecracker is full of energy! She's also very independent, and INTELLIGENT. She has a very sweet personality. Loves to play with dog-friendly cats, but is not in the least bit aggressive. She loves kids and other animals too.

Nila is already crate and potty trained, and knows how to use the doggie door. She has soooo much to give! If you are interested in making Nila a part of your family, please visit www.ns4ar.org and fill out an adoption application today!

Please also check out Roane and Reiny.

More about Nila

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
