BIO:

Coco was dropped off at a shelter along with his litter-mate Cosmo because they pestered a pet miniature goat.  From the moment he arrived at his new foster home, he adapted to his new family and dachsie pack with a good-natured and easy going humor.  He loves to lap cuddle and will roll over on his back for a tummy scratch at every opportunity. He is happy to share his food and accepts everyone with affection.  His coloring is unusual; could be English Cream and Chocolate dapple.  Coco would be a wonderful addition to any home due to his laid back nature.  Please give him a loving forever home and he will return your love with years of affection and laughter.

More about Coco...NC

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
