BIO:

JACKSON 3 dumped in a shelter in KY. We were contacted and asked if we would take him. Of course we would take him and we already has someone wanting a wire so he’s already adopted. Had an issue with an upper lung infection but he’s all better now and just waiting to go to his forever home. He’s great with other dogs and would be good with kids, would need a fenced in yard and someone to play with.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about JACKSON 3...CT

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
