Bio:

CHLOE 7 came in from East TN with her friend when the family lost their home and could not keep their dogs. They were surrendered to a shelter and we were contacted to take them. CHLOE very friendly and doesn’t know a stranger. She loves everyone and comes into your home likes she’s been there forever. She is housebroken and uses the dog door like a pro. She likes to hang with the other dogs but we think she’d be ok by herself too. She goes in a crate just fine and will stay there until you come home. She does like to sleep in a doggie bed or chair at night or would prefer the big bed just fine.  CHLOE does fine on a leash but we think a fenced in yard best for Chloe because she does like to roam the yard with the other fosters here and loves going out first thing in the morning to check out the yard from overnight. If you are looking for a pretty girl to grace your home that’s not real high energy but would still like to take a walk to check things out then we think Chloe would be the girl for you. Please consider her for your next best friend.

You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
