BIO:

Dipstick was born in foster care along with his 6 siblings.  His mother came into foster care with only a week to go.  Dipstick was the first one named as his tail looks like it had been tipped into a can of paint. He loves to nuzzle our neck and lay on us.  He is quite the little charmer.  The puppies will be getting fixed in June and will be available after that.  Consider giving this little guy a home, he will love you back 10 fold.

You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
