BIO:
Charlie is a precious boy-he was found as a stray, skinny and having to fight bigger dogs to get food. You would never know it now, he is so healthy.
He is very affectionate and wants to be in your lap as much as he can. If you let him, he also wants to give lots of "kisses", and he will sleep curled up beside you if you let him in the big bed. He is a little thing, maybe 8 or 9 pounds, very handsome with his light brown eyes and is he is irresistable when he rolls over and wants a tummy rub. He is very soft and cute-we adore him but I know he needs to find his forever home.
When you say his name his tail goes into overdrive. We call him "Charlie-barley" and we are always telling him how beautiful and precious he is. He gets this look like "I know, I know, I can't help being so adorable!"
He likes EVERYBODY, never meets a stranger, and he enjoys playing with our other dogs. His favorite things are treats, digging holes, and his toy duck, which he carries with him all the time. He has so much personality-he believes we exist to pet him, and he has no problem letting you know it-he will jump and lick and plant himself right in front of you to be sure you understand! He is not much of a barker-he does bark at and chase the cat-my cat plays with him so it is not a problem, but he doesn't need to have a home with a cat that is afraid of dogs. He is fine around children, he figures they are more people to come give him love. I think he would be fine as an only dog or with other dogs.
He likes to play but isn't hyper. If he has his duck he is content to find a quiet place and nap with it. He loves walks and getting out in the yard.
Charlie was easy to housetrain to a dog door-we took him out 3 times a day, and he figured out quickly that he got a treat when he took care of his business outside. I'm sure he would learn any new method quickly.
