BIO:

Jax2 is one of the sweetest boys in the world. His life started out VERY sad. He was bought from a pet store and taken home by a lady that wanted a playmate for her dachshund. Her dachshund didn’t like Jax so out to the garage he went to spend 19 hours a day in a dark garage in a cage only to be brought out to potty in the yard, this went on for over two yrs. Until his Angel Debbie came along and convinced the lady to turn Jax2 over to her. Suddenly his life because MUCH better but her dog didn’t like Jax2 and would pick up him as much as it hurt Debbie she knew that he deserved better so she contracted rescue and now he’s on to a new chapter in his life. He is sweet sweet gets along with all the foster brothers and sisters in the foster home. Likes his foster dad and mom and LOVES to sleep in the big bed. Probably because he was left alone in a dark garage for so many years he does have mild separation anxiety so we think he’d be best going to someone that has another dog to keep him company or is home most of the time or can take him with them. Please give this boy the lasting home he so richly deserves. It was not his choice to be born deaf and just a little sight impaired so please don’t let that stop you from giving him a wonderful home. He does great on a leash and in a fenced in yard cause he can see. NO off leash ever for this boy or any dachshund! If you adopt this boy you will get a ton of kisses and undying love from the sweetest boy in this world.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about JAX2

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
