We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

FOSTER HOME Diane nashcat50us@yahoo.com

BIO:

GEORGIA came to us from Louisiana. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She caught onto the doggie door in a snap and we think with some consistency she’ll learn to ask to go out when she needs to potty. That will have to be worked on by the new owners.

We think she is Dachshund with Jack Russell mixed in. We do know that she is very sweet and deserves a wonderful home. She’s not had a problem with any of the foster brothers and sisters but she is still settling in. If you are interested in GEORGIA please e mail foster mom for more details.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about GEORGIA...PA

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
