FOSTER HOME Stephanie smburmei@comcast.net
Wiggles was purchased from a breeder by a family with two small children. When they found out a third baby was on the way, they decided a young dog was too much to handle. Thankfully, Wiggles was turned in to AADR, has no history of abuse and is your typical, active and happy young dachshund. He’s a sturdy, standard boy—very “durable” if you want a playmate for kids. He’s having a blast ripping and running with his foster brothers. He is being fostered with Keno and they LOVE each other and rip and run in the yard until they fall over with exhaustion. Wiggles would love to have a home with another energetic dog to play with and kids to romp with—a fenced yard would be great!
Wiggles has a gentle temperament and is a little submissive, so he would not do well with a dog(s) that would bully him. He quickly warmed up to his foster pack that is accustomed to new dogs and welcomed another playmate. Wiggles would be fine as an only dog, but he would need lots of playtime and exercise to keep him happy and well balanced. He settles down nicely in a crate at night and during the day when his mom is gone. Wiggles is a big boy and needs to learn manners such as not jumping on people. He loves kids, but they should be old/big enough that he won’t accidently knock them down. Wiggles doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but he is rambunctious!!! Wiggles still has some “puppy” behaviors and would thrive with a new family that would be willing to take him to obedience training. He’s a smart boy, learns quickly, and loves to please his people. He is housetrained, walks well on a leash, has a happy personality, and is a joy to have around!
If you have any questions or want more pictures, email his foster mom, Stephanie: smburmei@comcast.net THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE!
