BIO: Ally is a beautiful little mini dachshund with a lot of spunk. She is very athletic and will jump all over the place if allowed. She gets along well with most other dogs but it may take time for her to warm up to them. She can be a little snippy and therefore should be monitored with other dogs. She is not recommended to be placed in a home with cats or other small animals as she has shown aggressive behaviors toward them. She would do best in a home as an only dog or with another dog.
Ally has been diagnosed with epilepsy so she requires a small dosage of Phenobarbital twice a day which is administered with a treat. She loves to get her treat so giving her the medication is sooo easy. She has a very mild case and doesn’t require any special care beyond the medication. The medication also does not alter her personality or her ability to be a normal, active, happy dog.
Ally loves to go for car rides if she gets to sit on a lap. She doesn’t do well in a crate during travel. She is very low key and sometimes appears shy but once she gains your trust will become more active and talkative as well. She likes attention and loves to follow someone around the house. Ally likes to socialize with people more than dogs. She suffers from separation anxiety so being in a home with someone who can keep her company during the day is important. A retired person or couple would be a great fit for her. She is also a snuggler and enjoys sleeping at your feet or if it is really cold under the blankets. If you are looking for an only dog or even possibly a companion for your current dog, please consider Ally. She is a very energetic girl with a sweet heart. Please give Ally the fantastic forever home that she truly deserves.
