BIO: Max is a 7 year old playful boy. Max loves to play with ls, or really anything that you will throw. Max loves everyone and has yet to meet a stranger. He will cuddle on anyones lap, reguardless of weather they want him to or not! He is potty trained, but did have accidents in the beginning. He will scratch the door to go out. He does not like large dogs at all, he will attack them. He can be a little aggressive with food that humans are eating. (he does not care who touches his bowel.) He will try to get food from you by any means necessary. Sometimes this makes him not that great with small children. He will not bite them, but he has no problem stealing food from a toddlers hand!

Bailey is a 5 year old shy girl. Bailey likes to sit back and cuddle on the couch! She will play from time to time, but only after she is very comfortable. She is extremley sweet and likes to follow her owner everywhere. She does not cuddle with people she does not know, and is frightened of strangers. She is also not fond of large dogs. She likes to harass them with Max! She is potty trained and will scratch the door when she needs to go out.

They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.  They cuddle when they sleep and share with each other very well.

Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
