FOSTER HOME

Kathryn Dick – Auberry, CA 93602 – queenkathryn@gmail.com

BIO:

My name is Red but my foster mom calls me Red Dog. I am a pretty young guy, just about a year old. I love to play ball, playing with stuffed toys, and love going for car rides. Whenever my foster mom goes to get in her car I jump right in ready to go. I am a dachshund mix but I am still very handsome. I am taller than a purebred dachshund but still have all the great characteristics of a purebred. I get along very well with all of my foster brothers and sisters. My foster mom also has sheep, horses, and cats. I am a good boy and I don’t chase the sheep or the horses. The cats just hide from me so I don’t see them very often. I really would love to be adopted so I can have my own family. I want to go to a home where we can go to the park, go for walks, and play ball. I am also crate trained. I sleep in my crate at night but love being able to get on my foster moms bed. I get under her covers and just sack out. I will be a great friend to you if you just give me a try. If you are interested in me please call or email my foster mom and talk to her – she loves to talk about me.

More about Red....CA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
