BIO: Dolly is an absolute dollbaby.  She is small petite and sweet sweet sweet.  She is nervous of men, and a bit of small children also.  Loves my 14 year old son though.  She loves other dogs, and kitties too.  We have chickens and she does not chase them once told no.  She likes car rides, and sleeping in the big bed very very much!
Dolly was in a kill pound in MO, when AADR agreed to take her.  She has some severe scars on her sides, that her lovely long hair covers, but tell that something in her past was horrible and nothing a doll like this should have experienced.  I think somewhere in the past she was someone's baby.  Who knows how she arrived lost, scared  and hungry.
Dolly is the darling that everyone wants, I would apply to keep her myself as I love her, but I believe she deserves to be spoiled by her own special mommy!  I have 6 others  who must share me!
If you think Dolly could be the dream baby to add to your family apply soon as she won't last long!  For more info you can email me at kathymartine@cox.net.

More about DOLLY...MD

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
