BIO: Max came to us from a local animal hospital that was told to put him to sleep because he wasn’t feeling well. After running a simple blood test, the results showed that he had a thyroid issue and required medication. He is now on thyroid medication and is doing very, very well. He is a very happy boy again and thanks to the caring people at the animal hospital, Max gets another chance at life. While he stayed with the hospital they took such good care of him that they gave him all his shots, did routine blood work and physicals and even gave him a dental. He has pretty white teeth too!
On occasion, Max has had some back aches and so he is given Rimadyl (in a pill form) once a day to prevent flare ups or problems. He is a wonderful boy that has nothing but love to give. Max is a senior boy that would do best in a quiet home with someone looking for a companion. He does not need to be in a home with another dog and would probably do better as an only dog. He does however; get along fine with other dachshunds. Max likes to lounge around most of the day and enjoys laying in the sun in the yard. At night he prefers to sleep in either the big bed snuggled with you or in his dog bed. He is completely housetrained and very well behaved. He just needs someone to love him forever. He in turn will be a faithful and loyal companion. Please consider adopting Max and giving him a wonderful forever home…
