BIO: Bella is an active and happy mini dachshund. She loves to follow you around the house and has a wonderful and loving personality. She is extremely active and playful and can run very fast. Bella loves to snuggle under the covers in bed every night and sleeps fitfully and well all night long. She needs to be in a home with someone that is willing to share their bed with her because she is used to the human companionship at night. During the day, she does well when crated but prefers to be out an about and will spend most of the day lounging in the sun. Bella has shown some signs of separation anxiety when left alone but when she is in the company of a person she does fine. She will make an excellent companion. Bella is very healthy and has a good appetite.
Bella would do best in a home with a retired couple or someone who is home during the day. Bella needs to be in a home with an experienced dachshund lover. If you are interested in a playmate by day and a snuggle bug by night, Bella is the perfect dachshund for you! One look at her and you will fall in love. Please consider making Bella a permanent part of your family?

More about Bella3....CT
Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
