BIO: A real fairy tale!!!

Bailey and Oreo came to me after their old home just wasn’t right for them anymore. They are the perfect couple; Bailey is a true knight who always looks after his little princess. You couldn’t ask for more perfect companions. Bailey and Oreo are perfectly house-trained and will alert you when they need to go outside. They crate quietly together and are very affectionate. They are very calm and welcoming with visitors to the house and with older children who will not pull their tails or handle them roughly. They love to chew on big dog bones and will play tug of war together with a rope toy. They sleep together on their very own bed and Bailey always puts his head on Oreo’s back. They are UTD on shots and heartworm preventative. When they go to their forever home they will have their kennel, their bed and all of their toys to take with them. Can you write the happy ending to their story?

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.  
 
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
