Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. BIO:
JOSH
came
in from southeastern TN where he was dumped on a highway and a good Samaritan
picked him up and thinking he might have gotten lost posted him but no one
claimed him so they contacted our rescue to come get him.
Josh is housetrained, will ask to go out, good with cats
and kids but is not crazy about a crate, we will work with him on that. He also
can climb a chain link fence so will have to go to a home that walks their dogs
on a leash or a home with a privacy fence. He is friendly and curious about his
surroundings. Seems fine with both men and women. He has a beautiful wire coat
and we know how well wires are sought after so he won’t last long. If you are
looking for a young wire male now is the time he won’t last long on the
website.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our
dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them
to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then
there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK
YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
If you have questions
about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address
listed above. We welcome out of state
and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You
Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this
Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.
More about JOSH...TN
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
