YES HE IS..NO HE ISN'T...YES HE...IS...NO HE ISN'T!!! Just don't tell Quiggley that he's not all dachshund, he thinks he is!! He was an owner surrender and we were contacted to find him a home. Since he has "SOME" doxie in him we said we'd take him plus he's too too cute to say "no" to. He has been neutered and is now on Interceptor and Frontline and ready for his new home. He will need 3 other sets of shots within the next 6 weeks. DHPP and Rabies. He is a "VELCRO" baby. He wants to be with his human all the time, in your lap or sleeping with you. He is fine with small dogs but does seem a little afraid of them. He would be fine with kids and cats. He is working on his housetraining but if not taken out on a schedule he will have accidents. This boy is just too too sweet to sit in foster care for long. Please see it in your heart to give this boy a forever home. If you are interested in QUIGGLEY please put in an app today as tomorrow may be too late. WE WILL NOT SHIP OUR DOGS CARGO, TOO MANY HORROR TALES HAVE HAPPENED FOR US TO FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING THIS. IF WE CAN'T TRANSPORT BY LAND THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO FLY TO THE CITY THAT THE DOG IS BEING FOSTERED IN TO GET HIM/HER. Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard or down to FLORDIA. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interest in a rescue. To fill out an application for this dog please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app. we will be in touch shortly to do a phone interview. It is also best to have a dog in mind that you would like to adopt or if you don't please let us know that you'd like a dog that best fits your lifestyle. Keep in mind that we are all volunteers and have other obligations so please let your references and vet know that we will be calling to vai all info that you put on your application. If you use two vets then please let us know that so we get all info on your dog possible to determine if you are a suitable home for our dog. If you do not let us know these things this maybe the factor that you will be turned down to adopt one of our dogs.
More about QUIGGLEY....TN
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
