FOSTER HOME Amy  amy4kids@cfl.rr.com

UPDATE  - Maggie is a loving, quiet, sweet girl.  She is leash trained, house trained and starting to obey simple commands.  She prefers adults and is not especially playful so an adult owner who is looking for someone to cuddle with would love Maggie. Maggie has come a long ways and is very good on the leash and is totally potty trained.  She is a wonderful dog that would be best in an adult only home.  Due to Maggie's breeder dog background she is not playful and is very fearful of people when they get close to her. She does love to cuddle and really needs a home where someone can be patient and spend time teaching her how to be a great dachshund pet.  Please open your home up to her.

-----------
Maggie was pulled from an auction where she was purchased from a breeder for 50 cents.  She was so scared when she was there and thank goodness that a local Human Society was the one that bid on her.  If not, she may have had to continue a horrible life of breeding.  She is now in a wonderful foster home learning to be a dog!

Maggie is a very timid, sweet girl.  She is quiet and loves to cuddle.  She is crate trained and working on house training (has very few accidents but prefers concrete to grass).  Please open up your heart to a dachshund that needs to have humans love her not use her as profit!

More about Maggie2...FL

Is Not Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
