Winnie is a sweet senior dachshund that needs a home to live out her senior years.  She is okay with older mature dogs put not with puppies.  Winnie is a typical small dog, barks at most everything, likes to ride, be on your lap or held constantly and insists on sleeping up against you under the cover.

Winnie is hoping for a home where she can receive the attention she deserves.  She would love a household without young kids (human or fur).  Winnie would provide you with lots of love!  Do you have room in your home and heart for her?

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
