FOSTER HOME (NAME, CITY & STATE, ZIP, EMAIL):  Arkansas --- DeeAnn Jones, DeesDawgs@aol.com

The owner of Noodles and Red, lost her husband of 47 years and is moving into a smaller home. Noodles and Red need a new home where they can get lots of love and attention.

They have always been outside in their fenced backyard but would love to be house dogs and LOVE to sit in your lap. They get along great with the current owners grandchildren but not so great with the family cat.

We would love to keep this bonded pair together if possible but they can be separated if needed.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about Red

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
