FOSTER HOME (NAME, CITY & STATE, ZIP, EMAIL) DeeAnn Jones, South Carolina, DeesDawgs@aol.com
Digit is a beautiful red sable 6 month old long hair dachshund. He was given up by a breeder in South Carolina. Digits mom and dad were pure bred dachshunds. Digit is very outgoing and loves to give kisses and chew on rubbery toys and loves to be close to you at all times. Digit is good with kids and other dogs. He is not very excited about a kennel, so if your home offers a big back yard, the ability to roam free in your home and a big bed to sleep in then he is your puppy!!!
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.
More about Digit...VA
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
