BIO UPDATE (10/19/2022):  Finn is doing great in his foster home!  He is very loving and likes to be where you are.  He continues to become more relaxed and accepting of new situations.  When my grandchildren visit or there are visitors, he will bark at first but quickly warms up to everyone.

In his bio it says Finn needs a young, small dog with whom he can play.   It is important that he has a playmate for a companion to expend his puppy energy, he and my four-year-old Ford, a 70 lb. retriever, get along perfectly together.  So, if someone had an older, larger dog, who is laid-back, he'd do just fine as long as your older dog does not play too rough with him.  Finn also gets along well with Alex our cat who is 12 years old.  Alex is an indoor/outdoor cat but when he's in, Finn sniffs at him and is curious but does chase or annoy him.

Finn is potty trained, at least he hasn't had any accidents here, but there is normally someone home and he is let out about every two hours or so.

Although Finn is well behaved, I do him put in a wire crate while I am away.  He's perfectly fine in it.

Finn is full of energy and likes to go outside and sun.

BIO:  Finn came to rescue from Alabama. He loves to play so another small dog under 4 years is a must. He plays hard and sleeps hard. Finn loves the Big Bed and after a few minutes, will settle down for the night. Finn is shy at first and nervous around new people but will warm up quickly and then he becomes a Velcro dog. You just need to give him time to adjust to new situations and people.

Our must-haves for adorable Finn include:

• A fenced yard
• Another small dog under the age of 4 years for him to play with
• No apartments, condos, or high-rises
• Someone who is only gone for about 4 hours a day or works from home
• Someone who has the patience to help him adjust to new things

There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. 

We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states.  If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures.
