NAME.............MELODY fostered in Nashville, TN DACHSHUND...MINI COAT.............LONG COAT COLOR...........RED W/BLACK OVERLAY AGE...............8 MOS GENDER.........FEMALE/SPAYED WEIGHT.........9.5LBS ADOPTION FEE 300.00 contact Diane nashcat50us@yahoo.com MELODY was left in a drop off kennel in a very small rural shelter in southern TN. No info was left with her. She is being treated for dermadex mange(not contagious) and will need to take her meds for that until the 7th of Aug. She has some hair loss that but is growing back. MELODY is very sweet on the shy side but when she knows you are ok she will warm up to you and be your shadow. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house just wagging her tail. She loves bed time cause she loves to get in the big bed and snuggle right up next to you all night long. This little girl will make someone a wonderful companion. Is that YOU?? She will need to finish up her housebreaking but is very eager to please. All it will take is a routine and treats and praise. She is great with the other male and female dogs in the foster home. Fine with men and women but we suggest older children as younger ones may scare her too much. Please fill out an online application if you are interested in making this little girl yours. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
