DENALI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME SOON SHE'S BEEN IN RESCUE TOO LONG...SHE IS SWEET LOVIN AND VERY LOW KEY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SWEET GIRL, LAID BACK THAN DENALI IS THE ONE FOR YOU. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR TWO DOGS THAN DANALI AND ACE WOULD BE PERFECT TOGETHER!!
DENALI, came from the same home as ACE in MS - given up because they didn't want her anymore. She was pregnant when we got her and had to have her babies by C-Section three days later. We lost them all, probably due to poor care before we got her. She is now spayed and has gone through heartworm treatment - YES she was heartworm positive, too. She is now ready to go to her new home, like her friend ACE. She's had a dental and is UTD on all shots. She is housetrained to a doggie door and would need to learn to ask to go out so it would require some adjustment time. She is fine with male or female dogs and kids over 8 would be fine too, but don't know about cats. If you would like to give DENALI a last forever home, please fill out an application. She's been through quite a bit and now really wants to settle in a forever home.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
