BIO:  Meet Fritz... what a HAPPY boy he is!  His tail is always wagging.  He wants nothing more then to be near you or be borrowed under a blanket!  He has been in his foster home less then 24 hours, but he is making himself right at home with his foster brother and sisters.  Fritz would LOVE to sleep in the BIG bed every night!  Did I mention he LOVES having his belly rubbed?!?

Fritz was surrendered due to his prior family expecting a baby.  A fellow rescuer in Alabama took Fritz in and contacted us so he could go to a breed specific rescue.  Fritz has been fully vetted, including a dental.  He is ready to go to his forever home.  Will that be yours?

More about Fritz in FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
