BIO: Sedona came into rescue from northern AL from an elderly owner who could no longer care for her due to health issues. She was surrendered along with another dog. Sedona:
Does NOT act 7 therefore a younger dog is needed. She loves to run and play!
Is great with cats, would probably play with them as well!
Loves to run so, no open doors. Give her a chance and she’d be gone exploring.
Must have a fenced yard.
Don’t count this little lady out just because she’s got white on her face. Sedona loves to run and play and is not afraid of the rain or cold. You will have to do a little grooming on her because she does have the Papillion fur.
Sedona is very affectionate and loves for you to pay attention to her. She loves to be in your lap but she also likes to explore, so a fenced yard is a must. We think she’d do better with someone who is home a lot and a cat or a dog to keep her company when you have to be gone. This one is a keeper so don’t let her slip through your fingers. Apply today!

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
