THIS BOY LOVES HIS FOSTER MOMMY AND ALWAYS WANTS TO BE NEAR AND LOVES TO SLEEP IN THE BIG BED WITH HER..........ONCE HE WARMS UP HE'S A DOLL BABY!!
WILLIE was pulled from a shelter in AL where he was brought in as a stray. He was very scared and nip out in fear but if you let him come to you he will warm up quickly and turn into a love-bug. He appears to be housebroken at least to a doggie door. Loves to play with all the other fosters and gets along great with all of them. He likes to sleep with you on the couch or in the big bed. He will make a great pet for anyone looking for a small light dog for companionship. If you are interested in Willie please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online app and be sure to put his name on the app.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
More about WILLIE...SC
Not Good with Cats
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
