About TRACE...CA

NAME....................................TRAY DACHSHUND.....................PURE/TWEENIE COAT....................................LONG-HAIR COLOR................................BLACK & TAN DAPPLE AGE......................................4 YRS GENDER.............................MALE/NEUTERED WEIGHT...............................14 LBS approx. ADOPTION FEE................special needs..150.00+10.00 contact sherry52@united.net THIS SWEET BOY IS BEING FOSTERED IN TN TRAY was surrendered by a breeder due to an eye condition that he may or may not go blind. The disease of the eyes is called "PANNIS". He could have sight for 6 mos or 10 yrs we just don't know and for that reason we have to list him as special needs. He is housebroken, likes to play, gets along with other dog, cats and loves to cuddle on your lap while you watch TV. This boy is just too too sweet not to adopt even if his sight may go some day. We also think he'd be fine with older children, say over 10 yrs. If you are interested in adopting this sweet baby please go online to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online application and be sure to put his name on the app. He is UTD on all shots, neutered and on Frontline and Interceptor. Out of state and Canidian adoptions are welcome, we have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible. A home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.

Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
