Dachshund .................. Mini Coat .................. .............Smooth/wire Color ................. .............Tan & Black Age ................... ..............5 weeks Gender ........................... Female Weight ............................. 1.5 lbs ADOPTION FEE...............150.00 + 50.00 This is Sally. She is one of Cherry's puppies. Sally is the runt of Cherry's litter. When the puppies came to us they were full of parasites & covered in fleas. Now they are parasite free & flea free. She is as playful as any 5 week old puppie. She loves to be cuddled with & play with her toys. Her favorite past time is chasing your feet when you walk. Before she will be able to go to her new home she will have all of her shots that she can have a 6 weeks old & it will be the responsibility of the new owner to have her spayed at 6 months of age. If you are interested in her please fill out an application & put her name on it. Or if you have any questions contact us. Out of state adoptions welcome & a home visit is required. Sally and the others are all trained to a puppy pad and use it consistantly. There will also be a 50.00 spay/neuter deposit that will be returned to you once you show proof that she is spayed........ if you do not have her spayed before she is 7 mos than your spay deposit WILL NOT be refunded..........thank you for your interest in a rescue.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
