ROSIE DACHSHUND.......................MINI/PURE COAT......................................SMOOTH COLOR...................................CREAM AGE.........................................3.5 YRS GENDER...............................FEMALE/SPAYED WEIGHT.................................9 LBS. CONTACT nashcat2@bellsouth.net Rosie is very special and will need someone special to adopt her. She was abused by the first owner and terrorized by their big dog so with that in mind, Rosie needs to go to a woman only home, small kids are fine, one other small dog, cats are ok and you must have a doggie door and fenced in yard. Rosie doesn't know how to ask you to go out and go potty so that's why she needs a doggie door so she can let herself in and out. Rosie is a sweet girl she is just going to need a lot of love and patience. If you meet all these requirements go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an onling adoption application. Out of state adoption are fine and a home visit is required.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
