Both are very very sweet and just want a lap and bed and a human to love. Several yrs ago these two lost their daddy and this year they lost their mommy, now they are homeless and looking for a new mommy and daddy. They have ALWAYS been together and we are going to try and keep them together. They are both housebroken. Have had dentals and utd on all shots and heartworm negative and on Interceptor and frontline. These two are very sweet and loving and just don't understand what has happened. She loves to steal the toys from other dogs and play with them. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard or down to FLORDIA. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
