Hi my name is PeTee I was scared when I first got here cause a small child fell on my an I was scolded very bad for it I was only trying to protect myself so I should only go to a home with children over twelve,I have come out of my shell an if my new family will just be patient with me in a week after being there I will do for you what I do for my foster parents it took a week but now I cuddle with them I sit up an beg with my front feet for a treat or to get in your lap. I am totally house broke all you have to do is ask me if I need to go an I will go outside an smell the yard an do my business,I get along with the other dogs here just fine they have cats an I could really care less about them but they are in there own room when no one is home I stay on my dog bed when everyone is gone an I do just fine so if you want love an will be patient so I can trust you I will love you for the rest of my life with all my little heart can give an my sweet face will melt your heart so email my foster mom thanks PeTee.
Out of state adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost off to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
More about PETEE....TN
Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
