NAME..........................MINDY DACHSHUND...........TWEENIE/PURE COAT..........................SMOOTH COLOR...................... RED AGE............................3 YRS WEIGHT.....................12 LBS ADOPTION FEE........250.00+10.00 CHIP FEE CONTACT nashcat2@bellsouth.net SHE APPEARED SHY IN THESE PICTURES BUT REALLY IS NOT AT ALL SHY....... MORK & MINDY came in together but do not have to go together. They seem to do fine with the other dogs around so would recommend one other dog at least for both. Mindy is very out going and loves other dogs and people, don't know about cats and older kids(10+) would be fine. She loves to sit in your lap or sleep in your bed or both. Likes car rides and loves being out in a fenced in yard to run and play and chase the squirrels. She is UTD on all shots, rabies and had a dental. She is heartworm free and on Interceptor and frontline. If you are interested in Mindy please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and be sure to put her name on it. Out of state and Canada adoption are welcome and a home visit is required.

More about MINDY...SC

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
