NAME.....................................MAX3 DACHSHUND......................PURE/TWEENIE COLOR.................................BLACK & TAN COAT....................................SMOOTH GENDER..............................MALE/NEUTER AGE.......................................6 MONTHS WEIGHT...............................10 LBS ADOPTON FEE...................275.00+10.00 chip fee contact Diane at nashcat50us@yahoo.com BEING FOSTERED IN MIDDLE TN MAX3 was taken to animal control and told that he was sick. They thought he had parvo. He was immediately taken to the vets and stayed there almost 2 weeks to see if he did have parvo but he did not so now he is with us and looking for a new home. He is submissive to other dogs and loves to play play play and play some more. He will need to have another young dog to hang and play with or he'll become distructive. He is not fully housetrained but if you take him right out and stay out with him he will potty. He needs a fenced yard that he can also run and play in. If you are interested in knowing more about MAX you can email his foster mom. What a sweetie he is and a cuddler!! Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interest in a rescue. To fill out an application for this dog please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app. we will be in touch shortly to do a phone interview. It is also best to have a dog in mind that you would like to adopt or if you don't please let us know that you'd like a dog that best fits your lifestyle. Keep in mind that we are all volunteers and have other obligations so please let your references and vet know that we will be calling to vai all info that you put on your application. If you use two vets then please let us know that so we get all info on your dog possible to determine if you are a suitable home for our dog. If you do not let us know these things this maybe the factor that you will be turned down to adopt one of our dogs.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
