LOGAN BEING FOSTERED IN CENTRAL GA......
LOGAN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME ........PLEASE GIVE THE LADY A NEW HOME AND LOTS OF LOVE!!
LOGAN came from the same breeder in LA that buttercup came from. She is very shy and will need lots of time to adjust to her new home. She will do much better in an all female home. She does not like my husband and won't go near him. She would also do better in a home that has at least one more dachshund so she can learn from that dachshund and come out of her shell. This girl is VERY HOUSEBROKEN and will not go in the house!! You can either pick her up and take her out side or call her to the door and let her out. MUST HAVE A FENCED IN YARD!! LOGAN is not leash trained that's why a fenced in yard is a must. She had a hernia and that was fixed when she was spayed and she's now ready to go to her special home. Whomever adopts this girl will have to be very patient but she is worth the wait. She will sleep beside me curled up in my arms all night long.
She is UTD on all shots and on Frontline and Heartgard. If you are interested in adopting LOGAN please go online to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online app and be sure to put her name on the app.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
More about LOGAN.....VA
Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
