About LITTLE ROCK....MO

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
NAME.....................................LITTLE ROCK DACHSHUND......................PURE/TWEENIE COAT.....................................SMOOTH COLOR.................................BLACK AND TAN AGE........................................2 YRS GENDER..............................MALE/NEUTERED WEIGHT................................13 LBS approx. contact nashcat2@bellsouth.net ADOPTION FEE..................250.00+10.00 CHIP FEE Little Rock was turned over to us by a vet clinic after he was taken in there after he'd been attacked by several dogs and chewed up pretty bad. He'll always carry the scars of that attack and still has some missing hair. We are hoping that in time that will look better but he does look like he's been thru the war. Little Rock has been neutered, UTD on all shots and on Interceptor and Frontline. He appears to be house broken and likes other dogs and kids but don't know about cats. I would say that becuase he was attacked by large dogs that the next home have a secure fence and no large dogs themself as this may make Little Rock very uncomfortable. He does like to sleep in the big bed with his foster family. If you are interested in making Little Rock a member of your family please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online app and be sure to put his name on the app. Out of state and Canadian adopters are welcome and a home visit is required.....thank you for your interest in a rescue.

Not Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
