About LIL BIT..TN

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
DACHSHUND..............................PURE/MINI COAT.............................................SMOOTH COLOR.........................................BLACK AGE................................................2 YRS WEIGHT.......................................10LBS CONTACT nashcat2@bellsouth.net Lil Bit was an owner surrender and she belonged to an older lady that we feel didn't have many visitors as Lil Bit is very shy almost to the point of being very scared in new situations. Once she get used to your home she is fine and loves to sit, cuddle and sleep with you. She does not like children, cats but does get along with other dogs. She really is very sweet and would do best in a older couples home with not many visitors. She does fine with her men and women family.... She must have a fenced in yard that she can go potty in as she does not do well on a leash. She does seem to like to ride but is nervous only we think because she has not been well socialized. Once she is used to you she will give you all kinds of kisses and want to be as close to you as she can. If you are interested in her please e mail for more info. Remember out of state adoptions are welcome but a home visit is required and to fill out an application please go to www.ssdr.org and fill one out and put Lil Bits name on it as the one you are wanting to adopt.

More about LIL BIT..TN

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
