KIT LOVES EVERYBODY AND JUST WAGS IS TAIL WHEN HE SEES YOU.....PLEASE GIVE HIM A HOME!!
Kit is a sweet sweet boy and just wants a new home!!
KIT came from a shelter in AL where he was found as a stray. He is very friendly, gets along with most dogs, females for sure not all males. He loves to snuggle and cuddle with his foster mom and dad and sleep in the big bed. He does like to play with some of the younger fosters here and loves to go outside to wander. We would say a FENCED YARD IS A MUST and would help if you had a doggie door but if you let him out on a schedule he is fine. He does like to be verbal and let you know he wants to be in the same room of the house you are in. He really is a very very sweet boy that deserves a great home. If you are interested in adopting KIT please go online to our website www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and be sure to put his name on the app. We will be in touch shortly.
Out of state and Canidian adoptions are welcome, we have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible. A home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
More about KIT.....OR
Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
