JACKO NEEDS A HOME WITH ONLY FEMALE DOGS OR AN OWNER THAT IS HOME ALL THE TIME WITH NO DOGS. HE L-O-V-E-S HIS OWNERS AND JUST WANTS TO BE WITH YOU. WE ARE OFFERING A SPECIAL ADOPT DONATION FOR HIM OF 150.00 PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER FEMALE DOG AND WOULD LIKE TO ADD ANOTHER DOG TO YOUR FAMILY PLEASE CONSIDER JACK-O!!!
Jack-O was returned to us after being adopted out for 3 yrs. They said that he had separation anxiety and probably being and only dog that would be true but we have multi dogs here and he is fine when you leave him. We do not crate him and he is fine. So we are saying he needs to go to a family with1 or 2 other dogs and maybe someone that is home more. He is UTD on all shots and on heartworm prevention. He will be getting a fresh dental next week as well. Jack-O would do better with an female dachshund(s) as he doesn't get along with all males but we are also working on that. We would say no children or cats. If you are interested in giving JackO a forever home please fill out an app today. Jack-O is housebroken.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interest in a rescue. To fill out an application for this dog plesae go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app. we will be in touch shortly to do a phone interview. It is also best to have a dog in mind that you would like to adopt or if you don't please let us know that you'd like a dog that best fits your lifestyle.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
