About DOLLY...TN

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
DACHSHUND . Pure/Tweenie COAT . SMOOTH COLOR . BLACK AGE . 9 YEARS GENDER . FEMALE/SPAYED WEIGHT .17 LBS CONTACT . braden01@bellsouth.net adoption fee.....................125.00 DOLLY LOVES TO GO CAMPING!! This is Dolly. Dolly was turned into us because her owner had a stroke and could no longer care for her. DO NOT let Dolly's age fool you. If you did not know better you would think that she is around 2 years old. Dolly loves to play ball & I guarantee you will tire out before she does. She loves to sleep in the big bed with you & especially likes to go for car rides. Dolly does not know a stranger, she is eager to greet anyone she may meet. Dolly gets along with kids, other dogs, & loves to bark at cats. She will not harm a cat but will bark at them all day long.Dolly is up to date on all her shots & is on Frontline & Interceptor. Dolly asks me every night "When will I get a home of my own again?" If you think Dolly would make a great addition to your family please fill out an adoption application or contact us with any questions you may have. Out of state adoptions are welcome & a home visit is required. We are reducing Dolly's price due to she has been in foster care for a long time. She is just looking for that special home & if you can giver her that please put in an application. Also Dolly's best buddy is Molly and if possible we would like these two girls to go together.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
