NAME.....................................CHANCE DACHSHUND......................PURE/TWEENIE COAT.....................................SMOOTH COLOR.................................RED AGE.......................................2 YRS GENDER..............................FEMALE/SPAYED WEIGHT...............................12 LBS approx ADOPTION FEE.................250.00+10.00 chip fee contract Diane at nashcat50us@yahoo.com BEING FOSTERED IN MIDDLE TN CHANCE was surrendered by her owners in Southern AL cause they just "couldn't keep her"!!!??? She came in with her two puppies, one Ernie as already found a home but BURT is on here looking for a home too. CHANCE is as sweet as sweet as can be. Great with kids, other dogs and probably cats but we have not cat tested her. She likes to cuddle up to you in the big bed and sleep all night long. She will sleep in a doggie bed too while you watch TV or read a book. She is just about the most perfect dachshund we've had and just can't understand why they "couldn't just keep her". Chance has weened her babies and been spayed and now she's looking for a wonderful forever home. She may need more work on housetraining but hasn't had a accident in our house due to having a doggie door but she is very eager to please and would be easy to train. Please give her the wonderful home she so richly deserves. Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interest in a rescue. To fill out an application for this dog please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app. we will be in touch shortly to do a phone interview. It is also best to have a dog in mind that you would like to adopt or if you don't please let us know that you'd like a dog that best fits your lifestyle. Keep in mind that we are all volunteers and have other obligations so please let your references and vet know that we will be calling to vai all info that you put on your application. If you use two vets then please let us know that so we get all info on your dog possible to determine if you are a suitable home for our dog. If you do not let us know these things this maybe the factor that you will be turned down to adopt one of our dogs.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
